Family Medicine residency in Duke University Medical center, United States. Currently
in private practice with her husband Dr.Veerappan Sundar in Henderson,North carolina.

She grew up in Chennai ,Graduated from Madras Medical College with M.B.B.S, Moved
on to New York and graduated with M.D. in Internal Medicine from Long Island Jewish
Medical Center,Long Island branch of Albert Einstein Medical Center Currently a
phyisician with Novant Medical group in Charlotte. All through her career has had
opportunities to help young graduates to gain experience as observers at her facility
to help them get into residency /other carrier opportunities. She volunteers regularly
at local Women’s Homeless Shelter also at local church and temple events She has
a very supportive husband and 2 brilliant children.

Dr. Meenakshi Chopra – Treasurer

She Graduated in 1987 from Thanjavur Medical College with a degree in M.B.B.S. Then she joined as a Family Practitioner in a private Hospital in Chennai. Later on She joined an WHO (Indian Population project V) funded Clinic providing Family planning and prenatal services and immunization for indigenous population. In 1995 she migrated to USA. She completed her MPH at University of North Carolina at Chapel hill. She is currently working for the state on North Carolina as Disability examiner processing Social Security Disability Claims.
